Into the Heart of Ghur

Deep within the Gnarlwood lies Talaxis, the Ravening Ruin – a fallen ark-city of glittering spires and untold treasures. Daring warbands and avaricious thieves descend to claim its power – but the dangers of Ghur are many, and blood flows among the trees.

The new edition of Warcry has arrived.

Skirmish Battles, Reimagined

Fight thrilling tactical skirmishes with only a handful of models in a fraction of the space taken by a traditional wargame. A standalone game system, Warcry has been built from the ground up to be balanced, fast, and most importantly, fun!

The Faces of Chaos

Experience a side of Chaos never before seen in Warhammer Age of Sigmar with a range of incredible new models. Every Warcry miniature explores the fierce, tribal cultures that battle in the dark corners of the Mortal Realms – and beyond.

Legendary Campaigns

Fight through epic campaigns with your friends using an in-depth narrative system. Choose your warband, then battle through bespoke campaign quests for every faction that see your fighters grow in strength, uncover strange artefacts, and unlock mysterious powers.

A Test of Skills

Test your tactical skills with tightly balanced, tournament-ready gameplay. Matched play rules in the Core Book allow you to pit your warband against your friends and clubmates in ferocious head-to-head skirmishes with custom competitive rules for tournament and casual gamers alike.

Multiplayer Mayhem

Add more players for maximum carnage. Through the Triumph & Treachery rules, you’ll be able to enjoy battles with 3 or 4 players, forging allegiances, unleashing cunning deceptions and battling to prove your dominance over your friends!

Warbands

Strange and powerful warbands make the long journey to the Gnarlwood, drawn by tales of the Ravening Ruin and the wondrous artefacts that lie within.

Rotmire Creed

Masters of corruption and plague from swampland north of the Gnarlwood, the Rotmire Creed dedicate their lives to the brewing of poisons, diseases, and maladies. Their cult worships horrifying plague-idols – rotting towers of festering meat – and are willing to brave any danger in the service of their god, Lord Leech.

Horns of Hashut

Vanguard of the Father of Darkness’ unstoppable legions, the Horns of Hashut are pitiless destroyers sent to strip the land of life in preparation for their god’s daemon-forges. With fire and hammer, they specialise in the complete annihilation of everything they see, and pursue Hashut’s ambition with burning zeal.

Chaos Legionnaires

The Chaos Legionnaires are a well-trained, well-equipped warband devoted to the cause of the Everchosen’s legions… or so they appear. In truth, they swear allegiance to Be’lakor alone, and work behind the scenes to sway sympathetic allies to the Dark Master’s side.

The Darkoath Savagers

Barbaric warriors who call the Bloodwind Spoil their home, each of these battle-hardened combatants fights with a relentless, animalistic fury – and has the grisly trophies to prove it.

The Tarantulos Brood

The Tarantulos Brood worships Chaos as the Eightfold Watcher – a shadow-dwelling, arachnoid presence. In turn, the zealous devotees of the Tarantulos Brood mutate to reflect their dark deity, growing extra eyes and limbs, and they bedeck themselves with sleek chitin.

The Corvus Cabal

Masters of ambush and assassination, warriors of the Cabal tend to possess an unnerving focus, talking little and communicating with a combination of complex hand signals and sharp cries that sound like those of hunting prey-birds.

Splintered Fang

Unlike many warrior cults, the Splintered Fang see no dishonour in the use of poison as a weapon. Indeed, it is perhaps their most vital asset.

March into battle with background information on a range of warbands from across the Grand Alliances, and discover how to grow and develop your warband between battles. Plus, delve deeper into the Heart of Ghur with incredible art and lore.

Compendium

The Warcry Compendium allows you to expand your campaigns beyond the warbands covered in the Core Book and provides rules and campaigns for all the factions of the Mortal Realms. In addition, stunning battlefield photography and artwork provides inspiration for how to pitch your own games of Warcry.

Isharann Soulrender

Soulrenders are unusual amongst the Isharann, for they train alongside the Akhelians, and are well accustomed to acting at the forefront of battle. Upon each Soulrender’s helm dangles a lurelight, its glow attracting and absorbing souls. Armed with a hooked polearm known as a talúnhook, Soulrenders fight alongside the Namarti, replenishing their subordinates’ ranks even as they reap spirit-stuff.

Chaos Sorcerer Lord

A magic user of terrifying renown, able to wield fell energies and bend them to his grim will, a Chaos Sorcerer Lord is a fearsome foe to encounter. Able to bestow his followers with daemonic essence, boosting their skill, strength and endurance to unholy levels, his magical abilities and oracular visions make him indispensable in battle.
